Event Information
About this event
"'Just be yourself': How to write from an adopted persona."
This workshop will provide prompts to encourage writers of prose and poetry to write from the perspective of an adopted persona. Poet Hannah Stone will share some examples of writing from the view point of another person/creature/object and encourage you to do the same. Bring something to write on and your imagination.
You will have the opportunity to share what you have written with the group, and in the evening's poetry reading event between 7.30 and 9.30 pm.
Hannah Stone has an MA in Creative Writing from Leeds Trinity University. She has been much published in journals and anthologies and has two collections of poetry, Lodestone (Stairwell Books, 2016) and Missing Miles (indigo Dreams Publishing, 2017). She convenes the poets/composers forum for Leeds Lieder Festival and co-edits the poetry ezine Algebra of Owls. She reads her poetry throughout the north of England and beyond.
