What is the event about?

The purpose of these workshops is to help develop a new regulatory framework for point of care (PoC) manufacturing of medicinal products

The event will be held virtually over two sessions – 14th and 21st July. The first to explore the current and emerging technologies and products, the second to develop proportionate oversight solutions which will enable this new pharmaceutical sector to flourish in the UK.

Who is the event targeted at?

Those who are already involved in the development, manufacturing, testing and deployment of PoC products.Given the early stage of this work and the specialist nature of the discussion, this workshop will be by invitation. Attendees will be given access to documents they'll need ahead of the webinar which will be accessible by a password. This will allow capture of information following each workshop and will also hold finalised outcomes.

At the webinar participants will learn and contribute to:

• Advances in manufacturing and analytical technologies that will enable PoC manufacture.

• Explore and clarify the considerations required for proportionate controls, including regulatory considerations that will enable the safe development of this new sector of pharmaceuticals in the UK
