About this event
Franciszek Jordan-Rozwadowski born in South Africa, grew up in Swaziland, and went to university in the USA.. He has a BA in economics from Brandeis University and PhD from Columbia University. He taught economics at Wesleyan University. He spent 25 years at the IMF . His work on Europe took him to post-conflict countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina), to countries in transition from state-controlled to market-driven economies (Bulgaria, Poland, Macedonia) and to countries wrestling with the 2008-9 global financial crisis (Estonia, Denmark, Iceland). Since retiring from the IMF he has been doing research on the work of F2, the Polish-run intelligence network that covered France during the Second World War and on the German decryption of Polish radio communications.
