Description

Policing in Partnership- Mental Health Masterclasses

Mental health problems represent the largest single cause of disability in the UK. The cost to the economy is estimated at £105 billion a year.

Birmingham Solihull Mental Health Trust was established to help local people, their families and carers, with challenging mental ill health. We’re dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and removing the stigma that’s associated with it.

Within this culturally and socially-diverse population of 1.2 million along side our partners West Midlands Police we aim serve and care for some of the most vulnerable people within is region.

We are encouraging colleagues to come along and help share their knowledge and experience of working with service users to inform police practice. It will be a chance to find out more about the operational considerations and choices police officers face in helping vulnerable service users in different incident scenarios.
