Co-designed by Dr Melissa Jogie (UKRI Policy Fellow, University of Roehampton) and Katie Thorpe (Institute for Government), Churn is an ambitious and innovative policy gameboard that immerses players in the real dynamics of government decision-making. Unlike light “icebreaker” games, Churn challenges players to navigate political capital, resource allocation, and strategic trade-offs—mirroring the messy realities that civil servants and policymakers confront daily.
