Event description

As requested at the Student Services Staff and Quality Staff Networks, this policy webinar will explore how to engage students with the National Student Survey (NSS) results released in the summer. We will be joined by The Student Engagement Partnership (TSEP) who have worked with universities and colleges across the country on engaging students in the feedback cycle, of which NSS plays an important role.

Following on from our previous NSS webinar, TSEP will be exploring how to engage students in NSS results as part of a strategy for stronger and more meaningful participation in the Survey in 2018. Students who have had the opportunity to engage with results and the enhancement activity that follows, can become ambassadors for NSS and other student feedback mechanisms, while also offering valuable insight into the NSS results themselves. This webinar will support members’ strategies for student feedback as a cycle, of which the NSS plays a vital role.

TSEP will also provide an overview of their suite of resources to support student engagement across quality assurance and enhancement.

Session content:

  • Understanding your NSS results as part of a larger feedback framework
  • Engaging students with NSS results
  • The importance of the Feedback cycle
  • Peer-to-Peer activity in the NSS cycle
  • Improving continuity in student engagement: Supporting a new year of student engagement
