About this event

Join Gwent Wildlife Trust and Pontypool Community Council for a walk around Pontypool Park to look and listen for bats and other nocturnal wildlife.

Using bat detectors provided, listen to their calls to help identify the different species and watch them fly while they hunt for insects. Learn about bat behaviour and their importance to habitats. We’ll be on the lookout for other nocturnal wildlife as we walk such as owls and moths.

The walk will be approximately one mile at a gentle pace on mixed terrain including paths, grass and uneven tracks. Please wear suitable sturdy footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather and bring a torch if you have one.
