Poole Bridge to Hunger Hill Flood Defence Scheme Consultation

28 August − 30 September 2024

This area is the last remaining undefended waterfront in the town centre. There is a present day risk of tidal flooding which increases significantly over the next century due to climate change and sea level rise. BCP Council, in collaboration with the Environment Agency is working to provide a new flood defence scheme to reduce this risk to the local community.

While we are still in our planning stage, we are asking for your views because we recognise that, during the period of works, the construction activities may cause some disruption to people, businesses, and organisations. We are committed to actively seeking ways to minimise these. Please tell us if there are useful temporary arrangements we could consider to inform our approach to managing the impacts of construction.
