Create screenprints using a combination of digital and autographic stencils to create a piece of work in the style of Pop Art Icon Andy Warhol.

Working with printmaker James Vass participants will gain an insight into the colourful process of screen printing on this 2-day course, creating multi layered and vibrant images with this traditional and popular process.

What to expect in this class:

- Print studio induction

- Introduction to screen printing equipment & inks

- Learn how to coat a screen

- Format an image separation for your print

- Transfer of your image onto your screen

- Setting up your screen bed & test prints

- Inking up your screen & setting up paper

Please bring along a photo (hardcopy printed or digital file) of a loved one, pet or your favourite pop culture character. If unsure about file sizes then please get in touch once you have booked. All other printing materials provided.

The class will take place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st September, 10:00 - 17:00

We are delighted to launch our programme of printmaking courses for the coming spring and summer. The programme covers an exciting and varied range of processes and ability levels to suit complete beginners right through to more experienced printmakers.

We are passionate about making printmaking as accessible as possible and reducing barriers to participation as far as we can, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop their creativity.

Please get in touch directly if you wish to be added to a reserve list which we will consider if spaces are available close to the start time of each course.

Concession rates are available for Students, OAPs, Unemployed. Proof of eligibility for concession will be required at start of course.

the worm: a space for art, is a contemporary visual art gallery in Aberdeen, Scotland. We showcase artworks from all over the world, focussing on printing and publishing. Our exhibitions show work by contemporary artists, fine art prints from our archives and objects related to Aberdeen’s rich print history. Entry is always free.

On our print shop, we have a wide range of contemporary art prints for sale by local, regional and international artists, many of which have been published and editioned at the Peacock Visual Arts.
