This creative podcasting workshop has a mystery at it’s heart!
LAST MINUTE OFFER: we still have some places at the workshop - £20
This one-day workshop at No 34 in Sittingbourne will run from 11am - 5pm, and will be led by former BBC drama producer Gordon Lamont and assisted by Anna Henley.
While our last podcasting event was all about History, this event will be about creative approaches to podcasting, storytelling and drama. Gordon and Anna have developed a workshop template and structure that will give you a chance to work together and develop stories for a themed package. What’s the theme? You’ll have to come to the event to find out!
Whether you’re looking to develop audiences at your gallery or museum, or perhaps explore stories within your archive or library, podcasting can deliver engagement - and they're easier to create than you might think. This hands-on session will introduce you to basic techniques and give you an opportunity to practice planning, recording and editing, all in a supportive environment for beginners.
By the end of the all-day workshop we’ll have created and posted online a podcast together and you’ll have learnt valuable skills, tricks and techniques, giving you the confidence to create your own podcasts. All equipment, materials and refreshments will be provided.
If you’re already creating content, and not a beginner, the workshop is a chance to share skills and expand your horizons, and perhaps explore a different area of sound. Session leaders Gordon Lamont and Anna Henley are experienced radio and podcasting professionals with credits in local and national radio and in a wide variety of genres.
