PoppIn & IPSG with ALFie and BESSie - Stevenage
Event Information
Description
What is it?
ALF's Intentional Peer Support Groups (IPSG) are derived from our PoppIns, which are open to anyone in the community.
IPSGs have a specific focus and this one focuses on Stress and how we can manage it in our lives.
People often think of stress as being a wholly negative thing. In this group we will teach about the different types of stress and how stress is a healthy part of our motivation circuitry. However, when we become over stretched and burdened, on the one end, or understimulated and bored, on the other, stress becomes problematic for us.
We will learn how to achieve balance in our home, life, work, and study lives and become successful in our lives.
Who is it for?
This is for anyone who feels that stress is problematic for them. A large proportion of the workforce have time off work due to stress, if you are one of them, then please do join us. If you think you may be stressed, or care for someone suffering with stress, you are also welcome. If you feel understimulated and that life has no meaning or purpose for you, please do join us also.
