Overview of session:
The best RSE acknowledges that young people rarely distinguish between the online and offline world and recognises the influence of social media and pornography on young people’s attitudes towards relationships, sex, bodies and identity. This session aims to equip professionals with an overview of the research and laws surrounding pornography, youth produced sexual imagery and young people.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Explain the key laws relating to pornography and youth-produced sexual imagery
- Understand recent research findings on pornography and YPSI
- Identify a range of ways to teach and talk about these topics with young people
- Confidently answer difficult/challenging questions from young people
