You're invited to join us in Delhi to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!

You’re invited to meet Dr. Kamini Vellodi (Head of Program, Painting MA) in Delhi on 3 February 2026 for a portfolio review!

What to expect


Tueday 3 Feb, 5 pm to 8 pm

  • Each meeting will be about 20 minutes, running from 5-8pm
  • You can use this meeting to talk us through your interests and what you are looking for in terms of postgraduate study. You can bring along your portfolio (printed out, or on a digital device) to illustrate your current work or recent projects. We can advice you on programmes at the RCA that may be of interest, how students learn at the College, and tips on how to prepare a succesful application.
  • Please only book 1 session per person to allow other the opportunity. If we see you have booked two sessions then we may cancel your bookings in order to free up the space.
  • We will email you to confirm your attendance and share visiting instructions.

Who is this event for

  • Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art
  • Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
  • Friends and family are also welcome to join, they do not need to have a ticket

You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.

Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.

About the hosts

Dr. Kamini Vellodi (Head of Program, Painting MA)

Kamini Vellodi is Head of Painting at the Royal College of Art.

She writes and teaches at the intersections of contemporary art theory, history, and practice, with an emphasis on critical theory. Areas of research and publication include the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari, theories and historiographies of art history, aesthetics and the philosophy of art, world art history, Renaissance and 16th century painting, the history and ontology of painting, and concepts of the planetary in their interfaces with contemporary art. She is the author of Tintoretto’s Difference. Deleuze, Diagrammatics and Art History (Bloomsbury 2019) and co-editor of Grey on Grey. At the Threshold of Philosophy of Art (Edinburgh University press, 2023). As an educator, she is committed to practice as an expanded field of thinking that folds the theoretical and the historical within its critical apparatus.

Kamini joined the RCA in 2024 from Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh, where she was Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, Theory and History of Art and Director of Research. An alumnus of the RCA Painting programme, she has a PhD in Philosophy from the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Middlesex University and a BA in Painting from Chelsea College of Art, London.

She is editor of the book series, Refractions, at Edinburgh University Press, editorial board member of Art History and the Journal of Contemporary Painting, panel member for UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, and REF co-lead for CHEAD (Council for Higher Education in Art and Design).

Kamini has held senior academic roles, taught widely across departments of fine art, art history, visual culture and philosophy, nationally and internationally, and has been visiting fellow/faculty at universities around the world including the University of California at Berkeley and Parsons School of Design, New York.
