Is there any cost for this event?

No. We would be grateful for any donations you may wish to make to Marine Conservation Society (bring cash to do so), however, this event is free. Hire of beach wheelchairs is also free but should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

How can I/ my child become a mermaid/ merman/ merfolk?

Highly confident swimmers over 18 can get in touch to try a session: https://www.thelothianmermaid.co.uk/mermaidsociety. For children’s mermaiding classes, we recommend Mermaid Scotland. Anyone in a tail in the water must be a very confident swimmer- children can start with scale leggings + flippers
