Description

Our annual event to share and celebrate the range of services available to adults with a learning disability in Portsmouth.

There will be stalls to visit, workshops to drop into and some fun interactive activities.

The event is open to anybody with an interest in supporting adults with a learning disability - especially service users and parents/carers.

You are welcome to drop in at any time during the day.

Details of workshops will be added as soon as they are confirmed.

Workshop 1 - "What's it like to have a learning disability?" - Solent Volunteer Trainers - 11.00am

Workshop 2 - "Home Sweet Home" - Housing and support strategy - Pat Holmes & Ruth Kuil - 11.00am

Workshop 3 - "Supporting each other equals power (SEOEP): a peer advocacy project" - People First and Stepping Stones to Positivity - 12.30pm

Workshop 4 - "Leading great support" - Positive Beahviour Support and Stopping Over Medicating People with LD - Lawrence Patterson & Tricia Blowes - 12.30pm

Workshop 5 - "Access to healthcare" - Solent strategy and reasonable adjustments - Ian Chalcroft & Julie Chapman - 2.00pm

Workshop 6 - "Supporting people to lead active lives" - GIg buddies, MAKE, Lily & Lime - 2.00pm
