About This Event

Portsmouth SDA Church is a warm, friendly and loving place to worship and praise God.

We are open not only to church members, but also to those who wish to visit and learn about Jesus.

We are slowly re-opening from 17th July and services will be conducted in line with the Government guidelines and restrictions in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

Service times are:

9:45am - Sabbath School which will be held online via zoom.

11:45am- Divine Worship will be held at the church building.

You will need to arrive 10 mins before the service starts for check in.

There are limited spaces available due to social distancing procedures. So book early to avoid disappoinment.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can join us online via Zoom. Please vist Portsmouth Church for more info about worshiping online.

Expectations

  • All who use this booking system and any other system do so with the understanding that the data you submit to make this booking will be used solely for monitoring the number of persons attending the church services and for NHS Test and Trace. This information will be held for 21 days.
  • All persons attending the church services do so with the expectation that they will abide by ALL Government and local guidelines and restriction implemented for combating COVID -19.
  • You must wear a mask at all times when in the church building, unless you have been exempt in line with government guidelines.

Booking Tickets

  • There are 30 tickets available for booking on a first come, first served basis
  • Each person in your household bubble will need a ticket in their own individual name. So, please only book tickets for those in your household or support bubble (including children).
  • If you need to book tickets for people who are NOT in your household/bubble, please complete a separate booking.
  • If you are not able to attend after booking, please ensure that you cancel your booking as soon as possble to enable someone else could have your seat(s) instead.
  • Tickets are available until 6pm on the Friday before the start of the service on Saturday.

Before Attending Church

  • Do not attend church in person if you have any of the following conditions below.
    • Flu like symptoms within the last 10 days
    • Instructed to self- isolate after being in contact with an infected person
    • Fever, cough, sore throat, chills, muscle pain, shortness of breath and loss of taste and smell
  • Ensure that you have booked your seat(s) in advance for this event. Admission to the church service is by registration only.
  • You will be asked to enter your details in the NHS Test and Trace App. It is strongly recommended that you download the NHS Test and Trace App, ready for use.

What to Bring to Church

  • Please have with you your booking reference code/number. You will need this for check in.
  • Your smart phone to scan the digital QR code to assist with the NHS Test and Trace system.
  • Please bring a face mask and hand sanitizers.
  • A bottle of water for your personal use only as there will be no waterpoints or refreshments available. Please remember to take your bottle with you at the end of the service.

Childcare

  • Children church has not yet resumed. Therefore, parents/guardians and carers are strongly advise to keep their children with them at all times.
  • Please note that in accordance with the COVID-19 regulations, there is no requirement for children under the age of 5 to wear mask.
  • A Mothers/baby Room will be available for use but will be limited to 4 persons, 2 adult parent each attending to 1 child.
  • Changing facilities are provided in both male and female toilets.
  • Please remember to adhere to ALL COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions that are in place when using these facilities.

Attending Church

  • You will need to arrive 10 mins before the service starts to check in.
  • Have your tickets/booking code and NHS Trace and Trace App ready for check in.
  • Your temperature will be checked and hand sanitized. If you are found to have a high temperature/ fail the screening, you will be asked to return home.
  • Bring your own PPE (face mask and hand sanitiser) although a limited amount will be provided.
  • Wear your mask at all times when moving around in the church commununial areas, unless you have been medically exempt in line with Government guidelines.
  • Where possible, remain seated at all times until the end of the service.
  • Please adhere to all signage for entry, direction, seating arrangements and exit.
  • Only 2 persons will be allowed in the toilets at a time.
  • All surfaces will be sanitised.
  • You will need to depart straight after service and should not congregate before, during and after the Service.
  • Please note that there may be persons present in the congregation who are medically exempt from wearing mask.
  • Lunch WILL NOT be served after the church service.
