Event description
Following her thought-provoking session at the Annual Meeting Diane Keeble-Ramsay presents on this highly relevant and interesting subject

About this Event

The Equality Act of 2010 identifies age as a protected characteristic and the national demographic is shifting towards an ageing workforce with dramatic predictions of the societal impact when older workers leave the workplace to be economically inactive. Whilst the Centre for Better Ageing recognises the importance of engaging with older workers in advance of later life, the CIPD heralds the need to make work a force for good. By engaging with Positive Ageing, and thinking about older female workers e.g. peri-, post-, menopause policies, then there is a challenge to employers to be proactive.

Dr Diane Keeble-Ramsay MCIPD, as Deputy Director of Anglia's Positive Ageing Research Institute and further Head of Work Theme, has presented and authored papers on the topic. She is also the lead editor of the book, Positive Ageing and Human Resource Development which seeks to engage with re-thinking the issues around Positive Ageing and the challenge to the workplace.

The event will be held in the Wolsey Room at Holiday Inn, London Road, Ipswich.
