Positive Behaviour Management with Sue Cowley
Event Information
About this event
During this online event, Sue Cowley will share a host of practical strategies, ideas and tips that will help you feel more confident about managing behaviour in your classroom. She will explore the key principles of 'Positive Behaviour Management' in an interactive and engaging online session. She will look at how to ensure clarity of expectations, maintain a calm and consistent attitude, deal flexibly with behaviour and take a positive and proactive approach in order to achieve better behaviour in your teaching space. Sue will also share advice on how to develop effective verbal and non verbal communication and explore the complex role played by motivation, rewards and consequences in supporting better behaviour from your learners.
This webinar is aimed particularly at trainee teachers, ECTs and RQTs in primary and secondary schools, but may also be helpful for any teachers wishing to refresh their approach and build their confidence, or for other staff working in education. It offers an ideal companion to the behaviour materials in the Early Career Framework, because it acknowledges the complexities of the classroom and offers realistic strategies.
Sue Cowley is an internationally renowned teacher trainer and author of over 30 books for teachers, including the best selling guide to behaviour, Getting the Buggers to Behave. For more information, visit: www.suecowley.co.uk.
