Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) - Informed Level

A one-day training session mapped against the 12 Key Components of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) (Gore et al., 2022). Participants will learn what PBS is, how it focuses on quality of life and behaviour analytic processes to contextualise and understand problem behaviour. This course is CPD accredited and is suitable for staff in any role, but particularly staff providing direct support.

Outcomes: To ensure that they key staff understand the values surrounding PBS and some of the key concepts involved in designing behaviour support plans.

PLEASE NOTE: Places on our training programme are limited, please only book your place if you are sure you can attend for the duration of the training. If for unforeseen circumstances you need to cancel your place please contact us as soon as possible so we can offer the training to somebody else. We can only offer these workshops free of charge as we have secured funding from Skills for Care. Thanks to our funders we can offer these learning opportunities free of charge to caregivers and personal assistants (employed via a personal budget).

About the Support Collective

The Support Collective is a group of people with lived experience of disability, family carers, support workers, and representatives from health and social care. We collectively share the aim of working towards person-centred and inclusive models of support and care, and protecting the rights of people with support needs.

The Support Collective is part of the Project Art Works community who collaborates with people with complex support needs, families and circles of support.
