Event description
A troubled math genius prepares to play in a U.S.-Soviet chess match as the Cuban missile crisis threatens world peace in 1962.

About this Event

At the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, former US chess champion Joshua Mansky (Bill Pullman) is kidnapped by the CIA and taken to Warsaw, where he is to compete in a tournament against Soviet chess champion Alexander Gavrylov.

As American global hegemony comes under threat, the chess match takes on immense importance for both sides.

A tense espionage thriller, The Coldest Game took home two awards at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.

Film will be shown with English subtitles
