Post-Lockdown Gong Bath
Event Information
About this Event
Sound meditation with the gong is an immersive experience that is deeply relaxing and revitalizing. Often referred to as a gong bath, it's a chance to unwind and release tension as you lie in front of a gong and let the soothing tones drown out your thoughts and carry you away into a state of tranquility.
The powerful sound waves will vibrate every cell in your body, helping to release blocked energy and restore wellbeing. The wide of frequencies will help to induce a meditative state - even if you've never tried to meditate before. You'll feel the effects immediately and will leave with a renewed sense of calm, clarity and vigor.
This gong bath will be led by Carlo Volpi from the GONG team.
Everyone is welcome and anyone can benefit - you don't need any prior experience or spiritual inclination. Please bring your own mat, blanket and eye mask for your comfort.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Gong baths are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, anyone who suffers from fits (epileptics), or anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy due to the unstable nature of pregnancy during that time. If you wear a hearing aid, your device should be turned off during the session. If you have any concerns, please speak with your doctor in advance.
COVID-19 MEASURES:
- Bring your own mat, blanket and eye mask
- Social distancing will be observed and mats should be spaced accordingly
- Masks will be required when entering/exiting the building and in the bathrooms and communal areas, however you may remove your mask in the meditation room during the session

A few testimonials:
“As far as meditation goes, gong bathing is the most effortless method for inducing physical, mental and emotional relaxation I have encountered so far.” - Nodar
"For someone who struggles to meditate 'normally' and silence my mind, it’s great for me to be able to focus on the sound of the gong. It’s the first time I’ve successfully meditated and the results are great. I have been going very regularly for a month now and really feel different, far more calm and centred in life.” — Caroline
"Gong meditation is an immersive meditative experience. I could feel the sound waves going through my body from my feet up. The change in pace and intensity is like a story being told. I have been multiple times and each time has been fabulous. Selma is warm and welcoming and great at leading the session. Highly recommend it!" - Megan
