Using twelve years of quantitative and qualitative research Dr. Joy DeGruy analyses Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, a condition that exists as a consequence of multigenerational oppression of Africans and their descendants and affects the descendants of both the victims and the perpetrators of chattel slavery.
