Post & VFX Apprenticeships: New Programmes - New Opportunities
Date and time
An event for employers in VFX and post production to increase awareness of the available apprenticeships.
About this event
To help solve the skills shortages in post production and VFX, an entire suite of high quality apprenticeships has been developed covering many key roles. This seminar will give employers awareness of the breadth of what is now available or coming soon. You will hear how you can utilise these programmes to train new recruits or upskill your existing employees; how to access funds to cover the full costs of training and assessment; how to apply and what commitment is required from employers to provide good on-the-job training and experience.
Many of these apprenticeship programmes will be starting in September, so now is the time for employers to offer placements for new starters or to put forward their existing staff for upskilling. We also need to gauge demand for new programmes that will be available very soon.
We will be covering the following apprenticeships:
- Post Production Technical Operator/Edit Assistant – applications open for this September
- Post Production Engineer – expressions of interest required for new course in early 2023
- Assistant Audio Recording Technician – expressions of interest required for new course in early 2023
- VFX 2D Artist, VFX 3D Artist, ATD, Junior Animator – applications open for this September
- Post Production Coordinator – expressions of interest required for new programme
- Post Production Manager – expressions of interest required for new programme
The event is organised by UK Screen Alliance in conjunction with ScreenSkills, London South Bank University and NextGen Skills Academy.
