This event is open to LCF Postgraduate students only.

Post-Grad Community invite you to a Welcome Mixer and Marketplace event.

Learn about how the Post-Grad Community platform works for UAL students and what it can do for your journey, during and after, your studies. It’s a great way to connect with UAL’s wider creative network, find other opportunities, and share your work.

Plus, discover what makes postgraduate life at LCF special! The Marketplace will introduce you to key teams, services, and support. From career guidance with Graduate Futures, events on LCF’s Cultural Programme cultural events with the LCF Cultural Programme, to specialist facilities on campus, this event is your insider guide to making the most of your time at LCF.

Join us over a tea or coffee and immerse yourself in a variety of different student-led introductory workshops hosted by Post-Grad Interest Groups:

There will also be the following drop-in Screen-printing opportunity:

Algae Ink Print Drop-in: Custom Screen-printing with Sustainable Colour with Central Saint Martins PhD Student Cassie Quinn

Bring a tote or t-shirt and leave with a print made from algae!

We'll be using Living Ink’s algae black and a vibrant algae green paste, both made from microalgae, one of Earth’s oldest and most sustainable organisms. You'll get to see how these living pigments are applied through screen-printing and leave with your own custom-printed tote or t-shirt.

How it works:

• You bring a light-coloured, clean cotton t-shirt or tote bag

• We print a UAL design using algae-based inks

• You leave with a one-of-a-kind piece printed with future-friendly pigments

🖤 Living Ink Black: made from carbon-negative algae 💚 Algae Green Paste: developed from regenerative microalgae
