Event description

Description

In response to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Autograph is temporarily closing from 18 March 2020 until further notice to protect our staff, visitors, artists, collaborators and wider community.

Our exhibitions and events are postponed, but we look forward to welcoming you back later in the year. A new date for the Dance Workshop will be announced once we reopen.

Thank you, and we hope to see you soon.

Who decides the 'right way' to view an art exhibition? How can we challenge the accepted norms of physically being in gallery spaces? Who is excluded by these norms and unwritten rules?

Explore these questions with Headway East London at this inclusive dance workshop in our gallery. The charity supports people affected by brain injury, and their artist collective Submit To Love Studios have a pop-up exhibition at Autograph.

Through dance and movement, this session will throw out the rule book and create new, empowering ways to experience exhibitions through physical expression.

We are an accessible venue, and everyone is welcome to join us.

ABOUT SUBMIT TO LOVE STUDIOS

Based in Hackney, Submit to Love Studios is home to a collective of self-taught artists. These artists have developed a set of unique practices and interests, refined over more than a decade.

All of the artists have survived brain injuries - some use this to inform their work, whilst others take inspiration from the world around them.

The studio is based at Headway East London, a charity supporting survivors of brain injury. submittolovestudios.org
