Event description
Learn how to make a podcast - stage 2 - a hands-on day of making, learning and listening.

About this Event

This session is for participants of the first How to Make a Podcast run in 2019 as part of the Sydney Gardens Project, or for those who already have some skills in recording and editing sound. Please contact the event host with any questions.

How To Make A Podcast stage 2 workshop participants will:

· Revise recording and interview skills

· Practise editing and mixing (using Reaper)

· Learn more about publishing and hosting platforms

· Devise future content for the Sydney Gardens Project, and your own projects too!

The workshop is led by BEEF member Eliza Lomas who has produced podcasts and radio programmes for BBC Radio 4, 1Xtra, Tate, the National Portrait Gallery, Crack Magazine, Monocle, ABC Radio & more.

As part of the Sydney Gardens Project (Bath), we are running a series of training sessions in digital skills so that we can record Sydney Gardens both in the past and present.

We will be making a series of short podcasts for our online platforms in 2020-21. So we are inviting people who would like to learn how to make a podcast, and have it broadcast, to come to this training to learn how. You will also find out about how and when you can contribute to the Sydney Gardens Project by making a podcast with us.

Important information:

This workshop requires your own laptop. The Reaper software we used needs to be installed and working.

This workshop is for participants resident in the Bath & North East Somerset Area due to the focus on the Sydney Gardens Project
