Hey everyone!

We are happy to announce our speakers and topics for the third and final evening of the Space Industry Lecture Series!

❄️🧊 Prof. Ian Robson: Supercool Astronomy: Very cold objects in space

Ian has a long and distinguished history in the space industry and within the Space & Technology Facilities Council. He has published over 200 papers in astronomy, a textbook on Active Galactic Nuclei and edited four international conference proceedings.

🔭👽 Dr. Ian Whittaker: Origins of Alien Belief and SETI

Dr Whittaker graduated from the University of Leicester with a Masters in Physics with Space Science and Technology, while his doctoral research was performed at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Since the completion of his PhD thesis, Dr Whittaker has held six postdoctoral research contracts around the UK and New Zealand. This research has spanned both space and medical physics, including some meteorology. He has also had the amazing experience of working in the Antarctic at Scott Base.

👨‍🚀🚀 Dr. Martin Braddock: Building a Brave New World on Mars

Martin Braddock is a professional scientist and project manager working in the field of drug discovery and development with 36 years experience of working in academic institutes and large corporate organisations. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Radiation Biology (from the Radiation Biology Unit, Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Harwell Oxfordshire), is a former Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.

🌍🎈 Additionally, our high altitude balloon team will give a brief overview of their work on Aether.

The event is free for everyone, so feel free to also invite your friends and colleagues! We will provide donation boxes - the donations will go to charities of the speakers' choices!
