POSTPONED The Echo Chamber Club Meet Up
Event Information
About this Event
The Echo Chamber Club, in association with Newspeak House, invites you to our next meet up on the 7th April at 6.30pm.
We bring together various experts and specialists who want to improve information environments. You could be an academic, a journalist, a think-tanker, a technologist or a policy-maker who works on anything related to this field. This could be - disinformation, misinformation, information warfare, truth-making, conspiracy theories, data privacy, data politics, political advertising, microtargeting, transparency, mediatisation, normalisation, echo chambers, filter bubbles, herd thinking and more.
The purpose of this meet up is to meet people who are working in adjacent fields to enable collaboration.
GIVEN THE UNCERTAINTY SURROUNDING CORONAVIRUS, WE ARE RUNNING THIS EVENT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY. I WON'T BE ARRANGING PROVOCATIONS IN ADVANCE, AND WILL INVITE 3 PEOPLE WHO ATTEND TO GIVE A SHORT INTRODUCTION TO WHAT THEY ARE WORKING ON. THERE ALSO WON'T BE TOO MANY REFRESHMENTS.
The meet up will be hosted by Alice Thwaite, founder of the Echo Chamber Club.
Arrivals from 6.30 pm
Provocations from 7pm
The event ends when the last person exits
Please note we do not give refunds for cancelled tickets
