POSTPONED TO JULY 8th 2021 - QPSL SPECIFICATION AFTERNOON & BEER FESTIVAL

QPSL is delighted to announce that we will be hosting an unique afternoon of Focused CPD, a RIBA accredited Lean factory tour along with an evening food and drink festival, on Thursday 16th July 2020. We are holding the event at QPSL’s headquarters in Oldham (OL2 6JG), in partnership with the Manchester Society of Architects. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to:

• Meet 10 leading building product manufacturers & suppliers
• Gain valuable RIBA Focused CPD points
• See ‘Lean’ manufacturing in action via a RIBA CPD factory tour
• Watch live music, with a beer and gin bar, hog roast, and veggie buffet
• Catch a free bus from Manchester city centre - pick-up and drop-off

The event will give Specifiers and Architects the chance to learn about the very latest product developments in the construction industry. Ten leading building product suppliers will be offering 20-minute-long, focused CPDs which will earn CPD points for our guests. Attendees will also be offered a RIBA assessed tour of QPSL’s factory. This will allow them to observe our Lean manufacturing techniques in practice.

As part of the event we will have a selection of beers and ciders on draft at a free bar. A range of Manchester gins will also be available, along with red and white wine. Our guests will be served a buffet, the centrepiece of which will be a whole hog roast with all the trimmings. Three types of freshly made salads and delicious vegetarian Spanish quiche will also be on offer, alongside various sides.

Entertainment will be provided by 52 Skidoo, a Harlem Swing band playing vintage American music. For those who would like to take advantage of the refreshments, free transport is available on the day. There will be a bus to pick people up from the Northern Quarter in Manchester at 2.30 pm and drop people back through the evening.

RUNNING ORDER:

• 2.30pm: Bus leaves from the Northern Quarter to QPSL (Pick location TBC)*
• 3.00–6.00pm: Supplier exhibition, presentations & factory tours
• 6.00–10.30pm: Beer Festival, live music & hog roast (inc. veggie option)
• 10.30pm: Bus leaves from QPSL to the Northern Quarter (drop off location TBC)
