Using our gut feeling is second nature for many. But what informs our intuition? And how can we harness its power to help us improve our work and leisure? Professor Emeritus Bob Ryan, Senior Lecturer in Finance, gives an insight into instinct, intuition, and rationality, and how we can develop them to help us make decisions.
As well as teaching his students about how to make the most of harnessing their intuition when assessing business scenarios, Professor Ryan also uses a range of techniques in his own photography and will also be sharing his tips during his lecture.
Author, lecturer and photographer, Professor Ryan first worked at the University of Manchester and his roles have include Director of the School of Management, Royal Holloway, University of London. He has presented lectures on subjects ranging from Rewiring the Photographer’s Brain, to finance and accounting. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society.
Time and venue: Refreshments at Elwes Reception, The Park campus, Cheltenham, GL50 2RH from 5pm. The lecture is from 6pm until 7pm at nearby TC014.
