Event description

Description

Note, please arrive by 6.15pm, we will set off at 6.30pm sharp)

MEETING PLACE: Car park of the Potterspury Sports and Social Club

ABOUT THE WALK – grade: Moderate Route

This is an undemanding walk which goes through three charming Northants villages.

This walk is not suitable for larger dogs as there are simply too many “non-dog-friendly” stiles to cross. There is a small element of road walking (about 100ft), but the rest is on well-trodden footpaths.

Main areas of interest include:-
* The Queens Oak Tree, which is where Queen Elizabeth would secretly meet Edward!
* Lace buildings
* Wooded areas
* A sinkhole
* Lots of amazing views over open fields
* A few streams to see
* A couple of churches
* Enjoy the thatched cottages in both Yardley Gobion and Potterspury, as well as some very posh modern houses.
* We have a water tower and a mill house to see
* Alpacas (or they may be llamas?), a donkey, lots of sheep, horses and lots of birds.

SCOPE WALK VIDEO: If you are interested in seeing the walk before you set foot on the trail, then check out the scope walk video here: https://youtu.be/wuMGZ9ZivvU
