What to expect:

Two hours of wheel time with a quick 15 minute demonstration beforehand and 15 minutes of clean down at the end.
Getting messy! In this case 'hands on' is really appropriate. Although I supply very fashionable aprons, wearing clothes which you dont mind getting a bit mucky is advised! as well as removing jewellery, watches and bracelets.
I'm happy to help you with your ideas! Bring some images, sketches or even just your minds eye and I'm confident we can spin up something for you.
Clay must be 'fired' in a kiln to transform into ceramic, so if you'd like to take something home please bear in mind the delay between making and firing, approximately 2-3 weeks in total! I can arrange pick-up or posting.
I'm limited in my colours by the glazes I use, ash glazes! I take waste ash made by the best pizzaria in Cardiff - Ffwrnes, and create a food safe glaze. I will have examples on hand to show you but if you're curious, please check out my website/social media.

What is the accessibility?

My studio is located up 3 flights of stairs outside and has no lift access, and the stairs can be slippery when wet! If this would prevent you from accessing the studio then I am unable to facilitate workshops at this time, my apologies.

When can i get my work back?

If you decide that you would like to have your work fired then please expect a delay of 2-3 weeks, this will allow me time to fill the kiln and process the work through the bisque and glaze firings and arrange collection/delivery with/for you.

How many things can I make?

Generally I advise a single piece per person (2 if you're going solo) however if you are keen to bring home more then this I'm happy to come to an arrangement.

How long will the workshop take?

I aim to deliver at least 2 hours of hands on wheel throwing + some set up and clean down time but with this kind of work things can take a bit longer if you're in the zone! Generally between 2.5 - 3 hours.
