About this event

Arts • Craft

Come and spend a happy and creative 3 hours with Katarina of Time for Tea Ceramics and create your very own ceramic cup. This will be a unique, functional piece you'll use and cherish for years to come.

In this fun and creative workshop, you'll learn essential hand-building techniques using clay: slab building or coiling methods to shape your design.

Explore decorative techniques and choose to work with coloured slip and sgraffito, or experiment with underglazes for your very own personal design. Then Katarina will take your piece away to be bisque-fired, then glazed with a transparent glaze - a food-safe finish and high-fired to make it durable and functional.

Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to build on their existing skills, you’ll be guided through the whole process with expert tips and ideas to make your beautiful design.

What you’ll get: A hand-built and decorated ceramic cup (fired and glazed, ready to collect a few weeks after the workshop)

BOOK FOR TWO!! (parent & child, couple, or friends) and enjoy a discounted rate – why not create a matching set?

Suitable for ages 12+ (Children over 8 may attend with their parent/guardian booking a space each)
