Pottery Workshop!

Join us for an amazing pottery experience at our weekly pottery workshop here at Liberation Art Gallery! Discover the art of working with clay in a supportive, creative studio environment. This hands-on class at Liberation Art Gallery introduces participants to essential pottery techniques, including hand-building, slab construction, and wheel throwing. Students will learn to shape and refine their pieces, explore surface design, and firing is available onsite to create finished ceramic works.

Under the expert guidance of our resident potter at Liberation Art Gallery, you'll embark on a creative journey using a pottery wheel to craft your own unique hand-made pot. Guided by an experienced instructor, the class encourages personal expression, experimentation, and the development of individual style. Whether you are completely new to ceramics or looking to expand your practice, this course provides the time, space, and instruction needed to grow your skills.

Surrounded by centuries-old architecture and vibrant local culture, this workshop invites you to slow down, explore, and truly take in the charm of the area. Inside the gallery, you’ll be immersed in inspiring artworks, a welcoming atmosphere, and the joy of creating amongst fellow art lovers. It’s not just a workshop—it's a moment of connection, creativity, and appreciation for Brighton’s artistic soul.

You will also get the chance to create a charming handmade pinch bowl, exploring various modeling techniques with specialized tools. We will guide you with each step, ensuring you leave with not only a beautiful finished piece but also a newfound appreciation for the art of pottery and a skill you continue to grow with.

All materials are provided, just bring yourself and an old t-shirt to dive into this hands-on experience! No prior experience required.

If you'd like to fire your ceramic creation, it's just £5. Items must be collected within 30 days.
