Description

Part of London Challenge Poverty Week, the event will focus on addressing human rights and attitudes related to economic injustice and the causes and consequences of poverty.

Speakers:

Amina Gichinga, organiser with the London Renters Union who campaign to transform the housing system. Amina will talk about the work of LRU &community organising, mainly in east London. She is also a singer& music leader.

Diana Skelton and Jean Stallings, All Together in Dignity (ATD), 4th World.. Diana and Jean (who will Skype is from New York) will talk about their years of anti-poverty activism &their new book 'Until The Sky Turns Silver'.

Luke Aaron, Drama School student at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama & outdoor instructor from the Forest of Dean will talk about rural poverty and class, drawing on interviews he ran in his part of Gloucestershire.

Journey to Justice is planning a new project focused on economic injustice in the UK.
