Event description

Description

Soul Purpose
Soul Purpose are a London based Hip-Hop duo consisting of artists AyiTe and O.J.Hodding. The two combine raw production with distinctively poetic lyricism and have carved out their own signature style, delivering a fresh new sound while paying homage to their Golden-Age influences.
Dylan Williams
Creating music that acts as a snapshot of his life, Dylan takes listeners on a musical journey that spans the course of the summer.
2016 was a great year musically for Dylan. He’s opened up for cult American rapper and songwriter Sy Ari Da Kid, had numerous video premiers on leading platforms SBTV and Link Up TV, and amassed over 100k plays on his personal soundcloud. He rounded off the year with his very own sold out headline show at Birthdays. 2017 has started off strong, with him being named on Kamillah Rose “2017 Top Picks” on radar radio. He’s also entered Spotify’s UK Rap Playlist, as well as the MOBO Connect playlist.
“I'm talking about balancing my life and whatever is around me. I touch on subjects that are close to me. Problems I face with the opposite sex, family issues, my reality and my surroundings. I see, feel and write.”

IN THE POETRY CYPHER...

Belinda was the 2016/17 Institute of Contemporary Arts Associate Poet and is currently working on her debut pamphlet collection.

Desree
An advocate for community arts and youth projects, Desree began a night called #OMN in 2014 in her home town of Slough – which she still runs despite moving to London last year.
Desree has featured at events such as Empoword, Word Up, Extra Second London, HeadSpin, SpeakEasy, Word On The Street, Heaux Noire; the Open Mic night for WoC by WoC, Greenbelt Festival in Kettering to name a few.
