A poetry workshop for women

Whether you're new to poetry or an old hand, you'll find a place at this friendly workshop. You'll be introduced to poetry that will surprise and inspire you; and writing exercises that will bring out the poetry in the shyest writer. And by the end of the workshop, you'll discover just how powerful your words can be.
Burnley born-and-bred, Clare Shaw is an award-winning poet with two Bloodaxe collections; and a regular poetry tutor at the Poetry School, the Arvon Foundation, National Writer's Centre for Wales, and the Wordsworth Trust. Currently the Royal Literary Fellow at Huddersfield University, Clare has also worked in the field of mental health for many years; and is committed to creating services where everyone gets the support and understanding they need.
Children over 7 welcome if accompanied by an adult.
