Power Of Words

The POW Project is a collaboration from Wolverhampton Outreach Service and Voice4Parents Wolverhampton. The aim of the project is to inspire positive change in the language used by professionals when speaking about children with SEND.Power of Words Train the TrainerA one day course which prepares delegates to deliver POW training to others. This does not include permission to deliver ‘train the trainer’ sessions. Training materials should not be modified without prior consent. POW booklets can be sent for printing but we do not permit any modifications to the booklet.Includes:

• An introduction to the project
• Foundational theories and themes underpinning the project
• Key messages for trainers to promote when delivering POW training
• Reflections of current strengths and areas for growth
• A number of materials used to prompt discussions/reflections
• A number of reflection tasks based on the main themes from parent/carer feedback
• Q and A
• A certificate of completion awarding the ability to deliver the training sessions listed above
• Materials and resources will be provided that enable delegates to deliver the standard POW training
