Want to do more in schools but don't know where to start?
Powerful Practicals Training has been developed to support STEM Ambassadors who wish to play a more active role in inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. The training is suitable for new and experienced Ambassadors and focuses on developing and delivering short, easy hands on activities.
The session will be interactive with an emphasis on practical activities and will be led by experienced trainers from Graphic Science - experts in the field of training for public engagement.
During this training you will be helped to:
- try out your own activities and get constructive feedback on how to improve them
- develop your own STEM Ambassador activities and adapt them appropriately
- try out exisiting STEM activities and adapt them to suit your expertise
Following on from the session, you will be able to benefit from support from Graphic Science to work with teachers and deliver your own activity in schools
There will be biscuits. And fun.
Please bring a practical activity that you've run in schools before or an idea for an activity you would like to try.
To register, click on the green button and complete the short registration questionnaire.
On arrival at the school please park in the school car park and report to reception. The teacher contact at the school is James Hargreaves.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
