On Friday 25 November, KPMG is hosting the PowerHouse 2030 network for an all-day workshop in Canary Wharf on 'The Sector Convergence'.
The PowerHouse 2030 (https://powerhouse2030.org/) is a network founded by KPMG and run by young professionals in the electricity and gas industry - encompassing generators, distributors, supply chain, consultancies & start-ups. With over 150 participants from over 50 companies, the network has grown rapidly, hosting events at Centrica, National Grid control room, ELEXON, BuroHappold, and KPMG.
In industries as diverse as energy, banking, telecoms, media, healthcare and automotive, sector convergence is being driven by rapid technological change. The impact of these changes is being felt in the energy industry as much as anywhere including through Smart and the Internet of Things. Convergence is causing major disruption, bringing vast opportunity whilst also threatening the dominance of many established players.
So far, speakers tentatively confirmed include IBM, Apple, KPMG, BT, TfL, Energy UK, EDF, Centrica, Tech UK, DCC and a range of other tech companies.
Lunch and refreshments will be included throughout the day however we are unable to cover any travel expenses. The event will be followed by evening drinks.
