The University of Warwick and Warwickshire County Council are hosting this event at the BANK Restaurant in Brindleyplace, near to the ICC conference venue.
Our theme for the event is industrial strategy and devolution. The panel for the event will include:
Councillor Izzi Seccombe, Leader of Warwickshire County Council
Professor Stuart Croft, Vice Chancellor and President of The University of Warwick
Councillor Bob Sleigh, Leader of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Chair of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
Marc Reeves, Editor in Chief of Trinity Mirror Midlands, will chair the panel.
Delegates to the conference are welcome to attend, but you do not have to be a conference pass holder or member of the Conservative Party to join us.
We hope colleagues from across the area who are interested in the economic growth of the region, the new focus on industrial strategy, solving the ‘productivity puzzle,’ devolution progress, the WMCA, the forthcoming mayoral election and the Midlands Engine will want to join us.
We hope to encourage a lively but informal debate after opening contributions over a light lunch.
Both Warwick and Warwickshire will address the positive contribution we are making to devolution, the shaping of industrial strategy and building on partnerships between business, universities and local government.
