With energy prices rising and the cost of living going up, the North faces some huge challenges if it is to level up, reach net zero and keep costs down for its businesses and consumers.

We are therefore delighted to invite you be hosting the high-level Powering up the North summit to talk about how the North can power up and lead the way to Net Zero at a time of when we are facing a growing cost of living crisis.

Powering Up the North will build on COP26 and Electricity North West's £1.8bn business plan, providing a high profile opportunity to discuss how the North West can drive resilience to climate change, keep costs down and deliver green jobs and skills, reduce fuel poverty and support a just and fair transition.

Powering Up the North will bring together senior political, business and industry leaders and commentators across the North West and nationally to examine the energy challenges our region faces and discuss solutions together. It will also provide an important opportunity to find out more about our Plan to Lead the North West to Net Zero: supporting our communities on the road to Net Zero at lowest cost by increasing investment in the energy infrastructure, while lowering our part of energy bills.
