This is the fifth and final session in the Creating Connections Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Training series.

About this event

Public involvement in research is defined as research being carried out 'with' or 'by' members of the public rather than 'to', 'about' or 'for' them.

The session will be facilitated by Jo Lally, PPI Lead for the NIHR Research Design Service North East and North Cumbria, and Gary Hickey, PPI Strategic Lead for the NIHR Research Design Service South East. This training event was developed and will be presented with public contributors with experience in co-production.

Creating Connections is a regional network for all those involved or interested in Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE). Regular meetings allow those who have a role in PPIE in health and social care to meet and learn from others across the North East and North Cumbria region.
