About this event
PR for the People LIVE is a networking event for journalists to meet business owners, freelancers and creatives. We'll have a panel talk from top journalists on how to get featured in the press (including a Q&A)
A chance to get out from behind our laptops and make some new real connections!
Journalists get hundreds of emails every day, so biz owners - this is your chance to get ahead of the crowd and make some real connections with journalists. Come and tell them about your biz! Plus its the chance to network with lots of other biz owners too of course.
THE SCHEDULE
6pm - doors for cocktails and browsing our mini-market of small biz owners - all members of PR for the People! From cocktails to clothing, running gear to tarot readers
7.30pm - We'll have our membership's signature 'What Journalists Want' panel talk with a stunning line-up of talented journalists; Bianca Barrett (Forbes), Tanyel Mustafa (Metro), Jack Rear (The Telegraph) and Miranda Larbi (Stylist Magazine), plus PR for the People founders Lucy and Toya. We'll be chatting about how to get more diverse voices into the media, hearing what the journalists look for in a story, and getting the low-down on how biz owners can pitch to be featured in the press themselves without needing to hire a PR agency.
8.30pm onwards - PR for the People members showcase with mini ted talks and live performances, drag shows and more
Tickets - free for journalists, £25 for PR for the People members (using the code in your emails), and £45 for non-members.
