PR Ready for Micro Businesses - How to get your brand featured in the media

By Molly Scott

Overview

Join Marketing & PR Consultant, Molly Scott for a gentle introduction to how to go about getting media exposure for your small business.

This is a beginner's guide to getting PR exposure for your business with a focus on print media (newspapers and magazines). Lots of the knowledge and skills are transferable to securing digital and broadcasting media coverage, so if you are new to PR, or feeling unsure of how to get started, this is a great place to start.

Together we'll cover:

  • What PR is and how to get started
  • A brief guide to how the media works
  • How to create a press-friendly PR toolkit for your brand
  • Lots of tips, tricks and easy wins

You'll leave with:

  • A full-colour A5 booklet summarising the session (and probably lots of notes - please bring a notepad and pen - or whatever device you like to use for this purpose)
  • Clarity and confidence on your next steps

Who should attend?

  • Micro business owners
  • Early stage marketing professionals, working in SME

My clients tend to be independent brands aimed at discerning women - often within the hospitality and tourism sectors*. I particularly love working with busy female-founders - but this workshop is open to everyone and you will be made to feel very welcome.

*Please note that if you are a qualifiying business working in the visitor economy, you can access fully funded versions of this training via Visit Peak District & Derbyshire. See the full list of in-person workshops and webinars that I am running for VPDD here.
