Event description

Description

This event is brought to you by Vervate in partnership with SEA PR.

Feel more empowered and enthusiastic in taking and using photographs and video in your PR and marketing.

We have joined up for this one-off event to share our experience and knowledge to provide an informative, fun workshop that will enable and equip you to:

1. Gain an understanding into why PR is important and how visuals are a key part of that
2. Appreciate the place for a professional photographer
3. See why you need to take photos on your mobile phones and gain confidence in doing so
4. Gain an awareness into the basic skills of taking a good quality photograph
5. See why you need to use an editing app and gain confidence in doing so
6. Gain an awareness into the basic skills of using an editing app
7. Gain an insight into how to use photographs to maximise their chances of press coverage
8. Understand some basic principals in how to use photographs in your marketing and PR

All of this in the context of getting to meet other charity professionals and have some fun! The workshop will be interactive and hands on.

Places are limited to ONE person per organisation.

You will need to bring a fully charged mobile phone with you - we will contact attendees before the event with more information.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is free parking in the Marina Car Park which is just a few minutes walk from the Barge.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

You can contact Susi on 07973677017 or office@vervate.com

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Not at all - in fact please don't! We will have a register list of names that have booked.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes that is fine - due to the limited capacity please do try to make sure it is taken by someone who would really benefit your organisation with these skills, that's all.

Can more than one of us come to the workshop?

Sorry but no, we really want as many charities as possible to benefit - you will get some handouts though so should be able to share what you've learned when you get back.
