About this event
The branch will host a highly interactive Q & A session with a carefully selected panel of highly experienced, senior HR professionals from across the region and from a diverse range of organisations and business sectors. The experienced HR panel will provide first hand, uncensored views on any questions put to them by delegates regarding a career in HR and the role that the HR profession plays in the current business world.
About the Panel
Ben LeRoy (Macildowie)
Ben has worked as an HR Generalist for the last 8 years working within both regional retail and sales industries at an Advisor, Business Partner and Manager level. His experience has covered employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, talent and policy as well as risk management areas such as H&S, compliance and data protection.
Halinka Hepworth (Nottingham Trent University)
Halinka has over 25 years’ experience in senior generalist HR roles in manufacturing and not-for-profit sectors. Her last role involved leading a cultural transformation that delivered a wealth of benefits for both the organisation and individuals.
Graham Salisbury (Nottingham Trent University)
Graham has worked at BAE Systems, Amnesty International, ActionAid and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where he was Director of Human Resources. During his career, Graham has successfully built high-performing and award-winning teams of HR professionals, recognised for their delivery of a powerful and effective HR service.
Liz Veasey (Yusen Logistics)
Liz is an experienced talent and development professional, having spent over 25 years supporting individuals, teams and businesses to achieve their potential. Her current role as Regional Head of Talent and Development for Yusen Logistics covers 14 counties and approximately 7,000 people.
Pete Colby (Pragmatism (UK) Ltd)
Pete has worked at Kinetic, Corus, Northern Foods, Rolls-Royce, and Civil Mediation Council, before setting up the consultancy, Pragmatism (UK) Ltd. His experience has covered recruitment, HR generalist, employee relations, leadership, as well as training and mediation.
Event timings
The event will take place 6 – 7:30pm, followed by informal networking 7:30-8:30pm. Drinks and light refreshments will be served.
