Course Aims: Delegates to become familiar with what MI dentistry entails and how this can be applied to every day dental care.

Course Objectives:

How to make a risk assessment.

Consider what to leave and what to remove when preparing cavities.

Consider suitable materials for direct restorations

Consider other applications for MI dentistry.

Learning Outcomes: Improve your understanding of the practical applications of MI dentistry for patient care.

GDC Enhanced CPD Outcomes:

1. Effective communication with patients, the dental team, and others across dentistry, including when obtaining consent, dealing with complaints, and raising concerns when patients are at risk.

2. Effective management of self, and effective management of others or effective work with others in the dental team, in the interests of patients at all times; providing constructive leadership where appropriate.

3. Maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice.

4. Maintenance of skills, behaviours and attitudes which maintain patient confidence in you and the dental profession and put patients' interests first.


For the 2017-18 season of Oxford BDA evening lectures food will be included in the main ticket price. However, a complimentary food ticket MUST be booked by Sunday 7th January 2018. Without a booked ticket, the Oxford BDA cannot guarantee food will be available.

All tickets bought on the door carry a £10 surcharge and food tickets purchased on the door are £15 each.
