Is this event accessible?

This event will run outdoors in all weathers as long as it is safe to do so. There are no welfare facilities and the ground is very muddy and uneven with a high presence of trip hazards. Unfortunately, this event is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any further questions, please get in contact.

What will be provided?

We will provide all tools and equipment. We will also provide snacks. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary requirements so that we can ensure there is something for everyone.

Practical Conservation Volunteer Day at Helman Tor

Overview

Come join us for a fun day out one of our nature reserves, learning practical conservation skills and doing your bit to restore habitats.

Experience volunteering with Cornwall Wildlife Trust on Monday 12th January, 2025 from 10:00AM - 3:00PM. We will meet at Gunwen Chapel at 10:00AM before driving/walking to the task location. Meet like-minded individuals, practice your conservation skills and explore nature reserves. This one-off volunteer day is suitable for those 18 and over.

No experience or tools are necessary as Cornwall Wildlife Trust staff will be on hand to guide and support the activity.

Important Information - Please Read

Please bring waterproofs, warm layers and wellies as it can be wet and muddy. We will be working outside on the reserve all day. The terrain is very muddy and uneven. There will be no access to facilities so please come prepared with drinking water and food. Snacks will be provided.
