Event description

Description

Practical Self Care Workshop

Sunday 1st December, 10:00 – 16:30, Skelsmergh Hall, Kendal.

A day exploring theory, tools and skills drawn from trauma studies, neuroscience, mindfulness, yoga, nature connection and somatic psychology. We will explore these through presentation, discussion, meditation, film, art, movement and more. A diverse offering to nourish the diverse parts of you.

Experiment with a plethora of practical tools to develop an individualised self care toolkit to help prevent work related burnout, stress and vicarious trauma. To help develop connection, confidence and awareness with yourself.

Nes has trained in somatic trauma therapy and somatic self care with trauma and self care expert Babette Rothschild as well as in yoga therapy, yogic mindfulness and nature connection. Nes is also a trainee psychotherapist and brings together these skills to offer a holistic and practical self care toolkit.

£55 / £40 Earlybird (before 1.11.19)

There will be teas, coffee and biscits, please bring your own lunch as the hall is in a lovely peaceful area away from shops and cafes. Bringing (vegan) food to share is often an enjoyable way to eat. It could be something simple like bread or hummous or your favourite dish!
